Account Manager - Marcomms Location: West Midlands

Role Responsibilites

As a Marcomms Account Manager,  you will responsible for:

  • To support the development of strategies and proposals for clients in conjunction with Client Strategy &  Creative Director and Managing Director. 
  • To monitor developments within client business that may influence overall strategic direction
  • To identify potential sector based profile raising opportunities for Marcoms team and agency
  • Support Client Strategy &  Creative Director and Digital Communications Manager in delivery of opinion pieces cementing agency’s position as strategy sector champion
  • Ensure all competitors and market intelligence files are up-to-date
  • To ensure client strategies or pitch proposals,  if proceeded,  are adhered to and promises made at prospect stages,  fulfilled
  • To manage allocated client service teams and all resources to fulfil client briefs and expectations
  • Deliver operational excellence at all client touch-points
  • To act as the main interface with agency clients on day-to-day basis
  • Lead all communications with client on a daily basis ensuring regular update meetings,  telephone contact and general visibility
  • To ensure Account Co-ordinator has positive relations with client at all times
  • Exercise professional interpersonal skills in client contact meetings,  providing reactive support and proactive advice
  • Direct involvement with the creative team in the development of concepts both in terms of briefing,  direction,  conceptual thinking,  copywriting and presentation of work to the point of acceptance,  including implementing &  managing all assignments through   to artwork,  print and delivery
  • Alongside Client Strategy &  Creative Director,  to develop focused and meaningful commercial propositions that have a demonstrable impact on the clients business
  • Ensure all creative time is used efficiently in line with signed off quotes
  • Ensure creative have confirmed time required on all jobs,  before submitting estimates to client
  • Proactively sell in all creative concepts as produced by Creative ensuring buy-in towards all ideas
  • Develop and deliver added value creative briefs which are to be signed off by Client Strategy &  Creative Director and the client,  where appropriate
  • Identify and exploit all network opportunities
  • Position the agency as sector specialist where possible
  • Fulfil annual new business targets as defined by Client Strategy &  Creative Director and Managing Director
  • Ensure all potential client development avenues are explored and pursued,  including through the line opportunities
  • Actively maintain a positive and ‘on brand’  presence on LinkedIn and always adhere to the company’s social media policy
  • Planning,  booking and administration in relation to media space requirements for client campaigns and strategies
  • Ensure agency receives voucher file copies of all press based communications
  • To manage TCS -  the media partner chosen to handle the media buying requirements of the agency for LUMS
  • To undertake on a quarterly basis a formal review of the service being provided from an internal agency perspective and from an external outsourcing partner perspective
  • Liaison with agency’s outsourcing partners in relation to obtaining quotations,  developing client quotations,  print buying and administration,  including supervising projects through to print and client delivery
  • To coach,  manage,  and appraise any member of staff directly allocated to your specific responsibility
  • Ensure each team member has a comprehensive job/role description that is accepted and adhered to
  • Ensure effective cover during periods of absence due to sickness/holidays
  • To advise Client Strategy &  Creative Director immediately regarding potential personnel problems in the event that you are unable to resolve the situation
  • To recruit new members of personnel,  as need arises
